David and David met in 2007 while working together for a small finance company in downtown Chicago. Through the years they realized that they both have a lot in common, with one thing in particular standing out: their love for animals. As a result, the two friends decided to follow their passion by forming Field Days Dog Walking, a pet care and dog walking company founded on trust and compassion.

Field Days Dog Walking provides personalized pet care services for your beloved furry friend including: Dog Walking, Puppy Service, Vacation Care, and Cat Visits. In order to provide the best service possible, we believe in forming a long-term relationship with both you and your pet and will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable with our care. We look forward to meeting you and your special companion very soon!

I would characterize myself as a pretty simple and straightforward guy. I love animals, sports, and the outdoors. I grew up just outside of Denver, CO -- a great place to enjoy all of the above!  After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, I moved to Chicago to begin a career in finance. Five years in the industry was enough time for me to realize that I needed to incorporate my love for animals and the outdoors back into my life. Field Days Dog Walking allows me to do both at the same time! When I'm not working, I enjoy playing in various intramural sports leagues, as well as volunteering at local animal rescue organizations and shelters. I even adopted my wonderful pup, Addison, from one of them. Thank you for visiting our website and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

David Blakeman

chicago dog walker davidpAs a 10 year old boy, I had only one goal in mind: to convince my parents to get a family dog. I wasn't quite sure how to accomplish this task but I knew it had to be done. Finally, after two persistent years, we welcomed Heidi into our family! This marked the beginning of my love for animals. Shortly thereafter, I began volunteering at local animal shelters in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio and continued to do so while studying at Miami University of Ohio. Post-college I moved to Chicago to pursue a career in finance, but after a few years I decided it was time for a change. Forming Field Days Dog Walking was one of my most enjoyable decisions and being able to care for animals on a daily basis is a welcomed privilege. I currently live in Old Town with two wonderful dogs and can't wait to meet yours!
